I often volunteer as a graphic designer for events and organisations I like and support.
This is a collection of poster designs I did for a music festival. These are true human-machine hybrids. Some of the main imagery was generated with AI, touched up and altered with elements of my own design, and finished with conventional graphic design tools like InDesign and Photoshop.
I recently created an online training course for a citizen science project, aimed at teaching teenagers the basic principles of citizen science, a discipline in which non-scientists contribute to data gathering for science project. Twitchers who share their observations of birds with ornithologists are a good example, or amateur astronomers sharing images of the night sky with scientists.
The project needed compelling visuals, so I created a mood board in the style of some of my favourite science fiction comic book artists, like Jean Giraud / Moebius and some of my original work for professional projects.
The mood board was mostly generated with Midjourney AI and Adobe Firefly AI. I perfected the collection by hand, using graphic design tools like InDesign and Photoshop, and visual elements I created myself.
